I’m not sure how this happens! This is an unbelievable video of a dog balancing on a chain. At one point he is balancing on his hind legs!

Interesting story of a kayak fisherman coming across a dog while fishing. He posted this video. It shows him fishing when a dog appears out of nowhere.

Later he finds out how it all came about. Check out the comments on YouTube from the grateful owner. Here’s the back story from abc news. Apparently the dog was jogging with it’s owner when she was run down by a drunk driver. He was hit too and ran off into the water, saw the yellow kayak and identified it with sanctuary. Good job, fisherman.

Cool video of a dog that likes to go fishing. Go fishing, as in catching the fish himself. He leaps right in the water and pulls the fish out.

I wish I could train my Lab to do that.

A Yellow Labrador’s Morning Swim

Labrador Retrievers are great animals and make wonderful pets. They are very curious and unafraid of most other animals. To a domesticated Lab, every stranger or everything is a friend they haven’t made, yet. This Yellow Labrador Retriever apparently takes frequent morning swims with a local dolphin. The dolphin hangs out in the boat basin waiting for the trawlers to make their way out to sea each morning for their daily catch. As the dolphin waits the Lab plays. Very cute.

A lady was saying the other day that she saw a man driving down the I- 35 and a dog was hanging on to the tail gate for dear life. She said if he hadn’t been going so fast in the other direction she would have tried to stop him. A few weeks later her son see’s this truck at the Bass Pro Shop! The truck belongs to a taxidermist!

Funny (?) video clip of a dog jumping out of a moving car. Dogs do the funniest stuff. Labrador’s have never been accused of being the smartest dogs in the world. I get the feeling he won’t attempt that again.

Bird Dog Caught in the Act

At first glance when Dave sent this to me I didn’t understand why he thought this photo of his German Shorthaired Pointer “Kirby” was noteworthy. It took me a while to notice that he had something caught in his teeth. This is what I call a real bird dog.

It reminds me of a witticism my granddad used to say. When asked what was for dinner he would reply “Bird Dog Stew”. It took me a while to understand why that was humorous. I guessed later in life, after he passed, that it referred to a what would be for dinner if you or, maybe more to the point, your bird dog didn’t have a very fruitful hunting experience.

Apparently, Kirby is quite the backyard hunter. Known to chase, catch and eat squirrels, too.
