Here’s a photo send to me recently of a huge wolf.
From the email: “This Wolf was shot recently in Drayton Valley, Alberta….which is near Edmonton about 3 hours North of Calgary. The wolf weighs over 230lbs smashing the previous record of 175lbs.
Apparently a bear hunter witnessed this wolf chase off a big black bear at his baiting station.”

unkown how about walking up to a wolf like that, and pet it, then tell us who you would rather be next to, the wolf, or the hunter that shot it?
Im pretty sure if you tryed to pet it, your would be its dinner.
You need to look at both sides of things, and not just one view.

Wolfangel: A little research will reveal that wolves do in fact attack people and have been doing so as long as there have been wolves and people. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolf_attacks_on_humans
They do attack the sick and weak of the herd, but they’ll attack anything that provides the opportunity, including livestock in corrals. Wolves, unlike the large cats, don’t bother to kill the animal before they start eating – they eat the animal alive. There is plenty of documentation that Mexican wolves, if not all wolves, attack for sport, often just taking a few bites of the guts (or the genitals, particularly of prey in the act of birthing)or, in the case of pets, they don’t eat any at all. http://www.amprowest.org/photos.htm

All you fucking animal protectors shut the hell up. Because of wolves other animals are going to die. In Yellowstone the whole elk poulation is down 60% Because of wolves deer and bear population are down. Wolves were hunted for a reason becuse they will destroy other animals!!!!!

Im sure it was beautiful living. We all must live together. The wolf is no longer living peacefully together and to that end it must be corrected.
Give a gun to any of the whiny people put em in the woods and when 20 giant wolves surrounds him lets watch him hug them all.

just finished reading all of the comments,on both sides..as a once hunter of creatures that roam this planet, I can understand how a hunter would feel with a gun in his hands and that was my reason for giving it up…
..now living with wolves, I’ve learned more than most will in their life time, for this predator being one of the top in the food chain has more intelligence then some of those that needed to swear in their posts to make a point..how ridiculous and childish it showed the low mentality of the poster..
..sad to say I only have one wolf now as my companion, however, the trust, and respect for this animal is growing not only for me but the wolf is also showing the same to me..this SheWolf, a young Alpha doesn’t test me like the males would do but still shows her defiance when she doesn’t approve of my words [sounds of dominance]..yet she realize on me for strength and back-up.
..Everyone has an opinion about wolves, which has had a bad reputation down through the ages, but now man has evolved far more than he was during those times and hopefully will take the time to understand wolves before passing judgment on an animal of great importance in the animal kingdom.
..to set the record straight..this pic of this wolf had been doctored, yes there are huge wolves, for I not only know a chap in Texas who has big boys, from Canada, besides myself who has had a wolf of over 7 1/2 ‘ long, from the tip of his nose to his rump not including his tail, Diablo lived 13 years with me before he died.

Hey I love to hunt and wouldn’t give up a hunting season for anyhting, but that is a great kill. Planning on going on a hunting trip with my husband and if he kills a wolf I plan on getting a full body mount on it. They are beautiful animals and deserve to be appreciated wether dead or alive.

It was a nice kill, unfortanlly there is trophy hunting , myself i hunt to feed my tummy. Hence most of mine for eating, but i also carry a traq gun for situations like that one. I would have brough the wolf to a zoo. more money in it that way. for all those what was the wolf doing, probable nothing folks. well don’t know what it was doing but if it could chase off a bear, i pretty sure it could take your 11 year old off for a snack. Wolves will attack humans, one of the few Animals that will activally add us to there food chain if the oppertunity arrises. But for the most part leave humans alone. but if you all still crying about it. go watch the steak you eat last night get killed in a slaughter house or suck on a peice of bark
