All arguing over dumb shit! What is this a pissing contest or forum posts about a freak deer death/accident? I've come across two deer locked together at the antlers, both dead. I've seen a dead deer impaled on a dead tree, no $hit, have pictures somewhere. I've even seen deer jump over a twolane highway with cars passing by at 65mph...deer clears over the cars and highway onlyto smack a tree, though i'm sure he lived. Nothing is impossible. He probably had heart arrest or asphyxiated due to the great pressure on his heart and lungs hanging that way and flailing about. 2. Try to rescue a 275lb mulley that is freaking out and you light lose life or limb. It would take a dart and a front end loader to lift him off. 3. The main arteries could be punctured that lead into the legs and that would make him bleed out in 60 seconds. 4. Hope the meat was used as it looks cold there especially in the night. Looks like the neck is swollen as if the rut is on there. There might have been a doe around when he jumped. women will make ya take strange risk lol. 5. He could have punctured bladder or intestines in that area which would compromise some of the meat and could have caused a lot of internal bleeding. The majority of his "guts" were below that point. Whatever the case it is unfortunate and hopefully he did not suffer all night. 1.
