Here’s a greate example of the branching of the horns that identify the deer as a mule deer and not a whitetail deer. The coat coloration is darker, too, espescially in the area of the snout.

To Patrick, every wound where blood vessels reside will bleed.
If you’ve every gut shot or seen a deer get gut shot, it does bleed, a lot. But it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll die right away. It’s usually a lot of internal bleeding.
DUH.
This dank creature is quite a commodity to our society today. Dykes like that should not be place apon a cross like this one . its quite a shame to see such a horrible sacrifice in our saddened futurama
Just too let everyone know even if there was blood or not….I hardly would think that no one would put a fake deer over a fence at a cemetary as a prank….
Oh and if you look realy closely there is blood on the ground…and also there is hoof marking on the ground from where it is scratching to get over….

OK the only smart one of you is Mason he actually looked at the deer and he was the only one to study it. Bob Taylor I hope you are a guy because that is gayto look balls. That is a really neat picture and it has a nice rack. Patrick a deer will bleed if you shoot it anywhere almost.

That is a nice set of antlers you have there. Isn’t it sad though how deer die that way. You can deffintly tell that you didn’t put a dead deer on the fence becuase it was scratching the ground. Nice rack fence was just a little to tall for him to make it. And No Mark no one helped him cuz this probably happened in the middle of the night and they didn’t find it till the morning. By the way, most of the blood is probably pooled inside the deer’s belly, since it’s hanging like that. duh.
Hopefully it was’nt too warm and the meat was still good.

If all of yall would look there is blood on the fence and on the ground then if you would look at the close up of the head you see that there is blood and hoof prints on the ground so quit gripping and just open your eyes

If you look the small prongs of the fence stuck him so it wouldn’t have gone deep, but if anyone has ever gutted a deer you know there are organs everywhere, vital or not, so if the prongs went in but not out it wouldn’t have splashed everywhere, but there is blood on the fence where it dripped out, along his belly. looking at balls doesn’t make you gay IMO but if you like the balls its a different story, all in all nice deer and sad to see a monster like that die in such a lame way.
oh and one more thing, aren’t we all hunters? why are we fighting about this shouldn’t we all just look at it and admire the luck? sheesh.
i did not know deer could jump a six foot fence but it is possible i have seen one jump a 4 1/2 foot fence

This deer died recently. Wouldn’t be surprised if the dude in the photo didn’t put the thing out, or walk up to it shortly after it died. Otherwise the stiffness that sets in would make it nearly impossible to lift the deers head for the photo. Also, I have seen deer jump ten foot fences, but this is a porker of a deer. He may have jumped that fence a hundred times in his life, but just got one day older, one day fatter. Also, if those fence poles penetrated the deers flesh, causing it to die of bleeding to death, there would be a HUGE puddle of blood. It most likely died of shock or exhaustion.

I agree with vegashunter if the fence did not come out there wont be alot of blood just very little.

To all the people who are commenting about gut shots, it depends on the general area in the intestines and etc. where you hit them. I’m an avid bowhunter and have unfortunatley shot some deer in the gut, some bleed like crazy so i could track them and some bled on the inside and made it extremely difficult and in one case impossible to track. not to mention the stench from a gut shot. from the look at the picture the fence didnt hit any intestines and that deer probably hung there for a couple of days before it died. That would SUCK!!!

uhmmm well you guys when you are stabbed with something and it hasnt been pulled out just yet its not going to bleed as much with something in its way… and uhm for the deer to have died in one night like that (which you know it did its right next to the rode someone would have noticed it) it defiantly has internal bleeding!
